Oct 14 32 I haven t worked on a 60 before but if you got oil in the swing pinion tub then you are surely leaking oil from the swing machinery The design of those things doesn t allow draining the gear grindings off the bottom bearing and seal The stuff gets through the bearing OK but sits on the seal and eventually wears its way to leakingJun 04 32 3 My MINI had 17 000 miles on it when I bought it even though it was 3 4 years old They recommended oil change once a year or every 10 000 mil Would you recommend I at least do twice/year anyway The factory warranty that comes with the car at first purchase expires in 8 months Thanks for all your help reply kevin 4 years ago

Dec 20 32 Page 1 of 3 Gear Selector Rod Oil Seal posted in Problems Questions and Technical Help I have just changed the oil seal on the gearbox selector rod and its still leaking oil When I changed it I couldn t get the alloy spacer out to replace with the new one with the O ring any ideas how to remove it Also do I have to drain the oil to change this seal for the second time or I installed the anti oil leak kit MSSK050 with my rod change gearbox and found that it would not always engage second gear or would come out of second gear as soon as I decelerated I thought my 2nd gear sycro was bad or I had a linkage problem until I read that others have had this issue
